It still amazes us how a couple can transform a popular wedding venue and make it their own. Jordan and Ryan managed to make Vizcaya look and feel different. Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is definitely one of our favorite wedding venues. For photographers, it’s a fun day at the playground each time we shoot there. This time, however, the overall feel was surprisingly different. Nothing changed at Vizcaya. There were no new gardens or new statues, but what did change was the couple. Jordan and Ryan seemed to give Vizcaya a new look. I would describe their wedding as a romantic Victorian garden wedding. The bride wore a Claire Pettibone wedding gown. The gown itself brought a feel of vintage. Jordan’s dress looked as if it was a heirloom. She chose vintage gold mirrors instead of bridesmaids’ bouquets. It was so unique and something we had never personally seen before. The florals and linens all seemed to compliment the romantic Victorian feel. Jordan and Ryan’s courtship also seemed to replicate something out of an old romance novel. Ryan was so sweet. He would casually place a kiss on the Jordan’s forehead. They were a dream to photograph. XO
