Becca and David proved to us that getting married in the middle of a desert, in an abandoned church, with their four legged companion as a witness is not just for romance novels. This romantic and spontaneous elopement happened in the midst of the pandemic. We felt as if we were immersed in a romance novel from the first conversation with this couple, looking back at it all there were so many cliff hangers, and emotional moments that added to this story. It seemed at one point that the odds were against the couple, starting with a date change, then the officiant unable to attend due to contracting the covid virus, and the photographers missing their flight! None of it mattered, this was just a bump in the road and for these two all they needed was a desert and each other to get married. Luckily, it all worked out for the best, the photographers made it to the wedding, the photography assistant became the officiant (totally serious) and it was absolutely perfect in everyway. Wait, forgot to mention because of the delay in flight, we were missing a bag of audio equipment. The airline delivered the bag to the bride’s sprinter during the getting ready. What a story, right!? We were so happy to have been the ones chosen to document this elopement. The photographs we captured make us smile from ear to ear, they are tied with so many moments that even us as photographers felt. I am sure after reading this story and looking through their pictures you may have the itch to do the same. Look up Mara, Texas and give us a call! We want a repeat of of this elopement, it was the adventure and love we all needed during a depressing pandemic.
